The Assassin's Enemy Lover

Chapter 122

Her parents had been urging her to take this chance and get along with Yi Chen as he was a rarely seen character in the Capital Star.

Such a chance was difficult to attain hence she had to make a good impression yet her position had been taken by a low life who was incomparable to her.

“Yi Chen... I am really happy to see you. Auntie always talks about you all the time at the book club. I am so happy I get to see you again,” she said her eyes shining like the brightest star in a constellation.

But when her gaze swept past the girl standing beside Yi Chen a flash of contempt and intense hatred appeared in her eyes.

If looks could kill she would have killed Zi Han with a thousand cuts by now. Zi Han could feel the deep resentment and malicious energy coming from her but he didn’t take it to heart.

He had an angry grandpa who didn’t want him to come back home. He was more worried about coaxing him than dealing with a hate-filled brat who couldn’t get a man.

Yi Chen on the other hand didn’t want to speak to them. The warm-hearted expression he had on just now had completely vanished. One look at his expression and one could tell that he didn’t want any of them here but the Ikeda siblings were too thick skinned.

She had brought her brother along to keep the other girl busy while she talk to Yi Chen but who would have thought both of them would be impenetrable fortresses.

.....

Yi Chen who was tired of her incessant chattering poked Zi Han’s waist underneath the table trying to grasp his attention. Zi Han looked up and with a furrow in between hisr

brows, he asked, “What?” in a whisper.

Yi Chen leaned closer and whispered, “Han Han, you promised you would help me.”

Hearing that form of address coming out of Yi Chen’s lips for the second time Zi Han felt chills all over his body more especially because Yi Chen whispered that into his ear. He tilted his head slightly and whispered back, “Fine. I will help you. Just stop calling me that. It’s creepy.”

Yi Chen couldn’t promise anything. He especially liked the feeling when the words ‘Han Han’ rolled on his tongue.

Seeing their little interactions Ikeda Yua clenched her first but she kept a stiff smile while glancing at her brother as though asking him to do something.

Ikeda Cresta sighed silently in his heart as he looked up at the pretty girl sitting opposite him and said, “I am sorry. We haven’t been introduced yet. My name is Ik-,” but Zi Han stopped him. Forgive him for being rude but he wasn’t here to meet new people and act friendly.

“It’s really not necessary. I came here for Chen-ge and that’s enough for me,” he said while rubbing Yi Chen’s shoulder intimately. His gaze turned to Yi Chen and looked at him with a smitten look like he was genuinely staring into his lover’s eyes.

Yi Chen was an emotional mess when Zi Han looked into his eyes. It was like a sort of thrill on the pit of his stomach, like when going downhill on a rollercoaster. His mind went blank in that moment. He felt a myriad of emotions from ecstasy to terror and amazement.

Unable to bear it he pressed his lips into a thin line as he lowered his head. The tips of his ears turned red and the heat spread to his face and chin. The taciturn face from before had completely vanished. He looked like a shy teenage boy who had just received a compliment from his first love.

Ikeda Yua couldn’t accept this. Everyone was here to get a chance with their potential suitor but from these two’s interaction, it looked like they had already settled on each other. To her, it was simply unacceptable.

For the next thirty minutes she tried by all means, to engage Yi Chen in a conversation but the girl would constantly place his hands on him as though establishing dominance. It was really difficult to watch and it kept getting ridiculous.

Zi Han who had his head lowered while doing something suddenly lifted his hand towards Yi Chen and Yi Chen paused for a moment as though not understanding what he meant but it only lasted a split second. Yi Chen took out butterscotch candy and unwrapped it before handing it to Zi Han.

Zi Han on the other hand shook his head as he said, “My hands aren’t free.”

Yi Chen pursed his lips astounded by Zi Han’s ability to flirt without much effort. His heart pounding hard against his chest he placed the piece of candy on Zi Han’s lips and accidentally got the tip of his finger licked by Zi Han’s tongue.

Yi Chen who could barely breathe at this point fell silent as his Adam’s apple rolled. He suddenly regretted this decision. He could feel some tightness in both his chest and down south.

Rubbing his forehead he crossed his legs with his hand crossed on his lap to prevent Zi Han from seeing something he shouldn’t. His fingertip still felt so hot like it had been burnt by the flame of a candle.

The longer Ikeda Yua sat there the more she felt suffocated with a sour feeling rising to her chest. She was a prideful person hence she couldn’t accept losing to this masculine girl who looked like a star player in women’s basketball team.

But what completely broke her was this..... Yi Chen asked if the girl was hungry and she nodded her head. She said she wanted tiramisu and Yi Chen didn’t hesitate to call over a waiter and order the coffee flavored dessert.

When it was delivered things only got more ambiguous after that. Zi Han ditched his light brain and took the dessert fork with an excitable expression.

But just as he brought the fork to his mouth he met Yi Chen’s line of sight and his movements froze. As he put the fork down he shrugged his shoulder as though asking, “What?”

Yi Chen glanced at the piece of cake on the fork as though silently saying, “I want,” before staring at him.

Zi Han made a face like he was saying, “But I have one fork,” and Yi Chen raised his brow asking, “so?”

Feeling defeated Zi Han pressed the tip of his tongue on his cheek in annoyance and picked up the fork. He directly fed Yi Chen the piece of tiramisu with an expression that seemed to say, “You are only getting one bite.”

Ikeda Yua personally witnessed the same fork move from Yi Chen’s mouth to the plate and then to the girl’s mouth. Zi Han seemed to not mind the fact that this fork had been in Yi Chen’s mouth. If these two hadn’t kissed then how were they fine exchanging saliva?
