Chapter 84 Blood Ceremony
With the Moonstow Flame, Jiang Ming successfully vaporized all the water that was blocking their path.
However, there were always two sides in a single coin, and what Jiang Ming did was none other than announce the unknown substance that they are here.
"Ugh, there goes my stealth plan down the drain," Jiang Ming lamented at this fate.
As much as he wanted to continue to be sneaky and launch a surprise attack, there was nothing else he could do in this situation.
It was either risk it all or go back home with no fruitful reward.
Meanwhile, Yuan Chunhua had her shoulder crossed the entire time, clearly enraged by Jiang Ming.
"Why didn\'t you vaporize the water from the start?" She asked.
"Because if we vaporize the water from the start, then the whole structure of the cave would change. And at that point, the element of surprise is gone and the unknown substance will know about our existence."
"You sound so logical, yet in the end, what\'s the result?"
"Ummm… that is uhhh- unknown variables that had caused a change in the plan." Jiang Ming managed to figure out an answer to her question.
"Mhmm, that\'s right, it was because we are no longer left with a choice, so I had to vaporize the water." He added.
"You were actually enjoying this moment the entire time, right?" Yuan Chunhua said in a deadpan tone, glaring at Jiang Ming.
Jiang Ming scratched his back nervously.
How did she manage to catch on to his ploy so quickly?
"Instructor Yuan Chunhua, let\'s stop distracting ourselves anymore. The unknown substance is up ahead, and we shouldn\'t waste time discussing unimportant stuff." Jiang Ming casually said, hoping that she would drop the matter.
It\'s just a little lovely and cliche scene that he wanted to recreate from all those romantic movies he had seen.
Why do you have to be mad?
It\'s not like she was really harmed in the matter. He had everything planned out, and with the GLCS, he was confident that any surprise variables could be swiftly dealt with.
Alas, Yuan Chunhua wasn\'t going to let him off as she pinched and twisted the crap out of Jiang Ming\'s waist.
Jiang Ming\'s face twitched a lot during the process since she was not holding back her strength.
In the last few minutes, Jiang Ming felt like he had turned into some wet napkins that were being twisted to dry off some water.
"Have you vented your anger enough?" Jiang Ming asked as he lifted his clothes up.
A large amount of redness on his waist could be seen instantly and he felt like crying.
That had to be the most painful treatment he had ever received since coming to this world.
"Hmph, the next time you try to act like those lustful arrogant young masters, then I\'ll make sure you stay in bed for at least three months." Yuan Chunhua scoffed and threatened him.
Jiang Ming raised his hand up in surrender and nodded his head.
"Can we focus back on the main topic now?" he asked.
"Yes, don\'t you dare play any games now. We have wasted too many times and the roar from before is just making me more anxious."
"The roar is probably the beginning of the blood ceremony anyway."
"The what-"
Jiang Ming smiled bitterly when he accidentally spilled out a secret. There goes his other element of surprise to see a shocked Yuan Chunhua.
\'Why did I have to go and yap my mouth?\' He cursed inwardly.
Now that he revealed the secret, it was a given that Yuan Chunhua would be asking for an explanation.
Thus, with extreme reluctance, Jiang Ming began explaining the whole situation.
"Technically, the unknown substance we saw is a Batron from the abyssal. Besides the toxicity it released and how much corrosion it can affect, the Batron is no big deal." Jiang Ming said.
And he continued, "However, what\'s deadly about this Batron is the fact that once it has gathered enough souls, it can summon a Legion Rank abyssal demon to this world by sacrificing itself."
"What\'s a Legion Rank?" Yuan Chunhua asked.
Since she didn\'t know anything regarding Cultivation Omega, she was ignorant about the terms that Jiang Ming had used.
"A Legion Rank is basically the same as a cultivator in the Spiritual Grandmaster realm."
"Spiritual Grandmaster realm??! Then why the hell are you still stalling and allowing such a dangerous being from being summoned?" Yuan Chunhua exclaimed in shock.
Afterward, she started rushing toward the site of the blood ceremony, hoping to prevent the summoning from succeeding.
"... Now why would you stop an almighty being from being spawned? I want to murk him and get his resources." Jiang Ming sighed aloud as he knew this would have definitely happened if he had spilled the bean.
In her perspective, a Spiritual Grandmaster realm was a deadly being.
Therefore, she must prevent it from ever showing up in the Northern Continent. Otherwise, the whole world would be embroiled in chaos and death.
Sometime later, a loud laughing noise emitted throughout the hidden cave as it held a cocky tone.
"Hahahahaha, human cultivator, you are way too late to stop the abomination from coming here."
"You damn vile creature from the abyssal. How dare you!"
When Jiang Ming heard Yuan Chunhua\'s voice, he knew she had arrived at the scene.
However, he was smiling like a fool since he managed to hear the Batron taunting her.
"Thank god the summon succeeded." Jiang Ming praised the lord that Yuan Chunhua had failed to interrupt the blood ceremony.
Of course, he was quickly caught by Yuan Chunhua, who had heard him from the front.
"Are you serious? Do you even know the calamity of this?" Yuan Chunhua\'s brows were wrinkled as she held a fierce expression at Jiang Ming.
Her aura began to rise as she retrieved her sword.
"Were you in cahoot with this Batron?" She asked suspiciously, pointing the sword at Jiang Ming.
