Chapter 64 Xue Daiyu’s Improvement
After realizing he had been fooled by Qi Shan, Jiang Ming was in no mood to forgive her.
"Get back here, Qi Shan." Jiang Ming shouted as he increased his movement technique, hoping to catch up to her.
"Aiyah, I\'m just trying to lighten the mood up a bit and give you some refreshment, Jiang Ming. I mean like, fucking your own aunt must have taken some mental toll on you." Qi Shan giggled loudly.
At the same time, Qi Shan made sure to keep their distance by using her spiritual qi.
Jiang Ming gnashed his teeth as he tried to flank her on the side, but it was a futile effort.
Qi Shan seemed to know every action of Jiang Ming and was able to avoid him every single time.
10 minutes later, Jiang Ming\'s forehead was filled with sweat as he could not even close a single inch of their gap.
"Damn it, you were summoned by me, yet I\'m the one getting bullied instead. What kind of life am I having?" Jiang Ming started to rant and complain about his bitter life.
Alas, his acting was useless in front of the skillful Qi Shan.
"You\'re going to cry, little boy?" Qi Shan asked teasingly.
"Even if you cry a whole river, you are still insignificant in front of me. After all, you are destined to be overwhelmed by me." She added.
\'I\'m supposed to be a powerful man, but a woman- no, a vicious woman is even more powerful than me. I hate this!\' Jiang Ming cursed inwardly.
Losing both verbal and fighting, Jiang Ming decided to stop chasing after Qi Shan for revenge.
It was near impossible for him to even try to defeat someone that he couldn\'t even defeat back when he was the strongest.
With that thought process, Jiang Ming turned around and walked toward the house.
"Tch, you\'re no fun, Jiang Ming." Qi Shan pouted in annoyance when Jiang Ming left her alone.
"How am I supposed to play tag alone now?"
—
Sometime later, when Jiang Ming returned to the house, he was quickly interrupted by yet another female.
This time, it was the house spirit, Xue Daiyu, who had been busily secluding herself for the past few days.
"Jiang Ming, look at my improvement," Xue Daiyu exclaimed happily in joy.
Jiang Ming raised an eyebrow and noticed her aura had visibly changed into a fiery red color.
"You had a breakthrough?" Jiang Ming asked in a dumbfounded tone.
He had only given her the Spirit Cultivation Technique last week, and she had somehow managed to break through already.
This came as a surprise to him because he was sure Xue Daiyu had no experience in cultivation.
Rubbing his chin slightly, Jiang Ming decided to take a step forward and inspect Xue Daiyu closer.
His gaze seemed to pierce through every fiber of her, making Xue Daiyu fidget her fingers in nervousness.
Despite being a house spirit and having no physical body, she was still considered a beautiful woman. And being stared at so intensely by another gender made her blush and feel embarrassed.
A few minutes passed by and Xue Daiyu could no longer handle the intense stare.
With a swift motion, she retreated backward and looked nervously at Jiang Ming.
"I-Is there something wrong with my cultivation?" She asked stutteringly.
Jiang Ming shook his head in response.
"No, there\'s nothing wrong. It\'s just that I\'m confused as to why your rate of progress is faster than mine. Clearly, I\'m cultivating a stronger technique and know more martial techniques. So why the hell is my progress so slow?" Jiang Ming complained.
Xue Daiyu was dumbfounded as she had never seen this side of Jiang Ming before.
Instead of trying to comfort him, she decided to keep silent and pretend to be invisible.
"Sigh, there\'s no point in getting flustered," Jiang Ming placed his hand at his forehead, hoping to calm his emotion.
Losing his cool for the past few minutes was enough already.
Any more, and he would really be ashamed of himself.
"I\'m going to head back to cultivate…" Xue Daiyu quickly gave an excuse and dismissed herself.
Just like a ghost, Xue Daiyu turned transparent and phased through the ceiling, vanishing from thin air.
As soon as Xue Daiyu went away, Qi Shan revealed herself from the side, "Poor girl, she came to you, hoping for a compliment. Instead, you made the scene so awkward."
"Hmph, wasn\'t it all thanks to you that I\'m getting a migraine now?"
"Aiyah, don\'t pin the blame on me. Never once did I tell you to worry like some scaredy-cat."
Jiang Ming clicked his tongue.
Why can he never counter Qi Shan- this bane of his?
Before Jiang Ming could come up with a word to counter her, the doorbell suddenly began to ring.
DING DONG!
"Seriously? You bought a house with such a lame doorbell sound?" Qi Shan didn\'t miss any opportunity that she could find to tease him.
"Shut up, Qi Shan. I simply forgot to break that damn doorbell sound." Jiang Ming snorted coldly.
He then walked outside to see who would be looking at him at this time.
It was still early in the morning, and if it wasn\'t something urgent, Jiang Ming wouldn\'t mind beating up the person to vent off.
After walking through the curbside, Jiang Ming noticed a middle-aged yet mature woman standing outside the gate.
\'Why does she look so familiar?\' Jiang Ming wondered silently.
Sometime later, Jiang Ming unlocked the gate and held a curious look at the middle-aged woman.
"Do I know you?" Jiang Ming asked.
Instantly, the temperament of the middle-aged woman seemed to have changed when she heard Jiang Ming\'s question.
"How wonderful, Jiang Ming. You even dare to forget your instructor name and not show up in class for weeks?"
"Instructor?"
"..."
"Did you forget everything after being able to ascend to the upper class, Jiang Ming? To think you even have the nerve to forget your homeroom instructor, Yuan Chunhua."
